What you will do
- Build a scalable People Operations operating model with stronger governance across payroll and compliance.
- Lead, coach, and coordinate the Payroll and Compliance / People Ops team.
- Optimize the operational connection between HRIS (HiBob), payroll systems (A3/Innuva), and employee data.
- Redesign workflows using AI and automation to improve capacity and reduce manual friction.
- Ensure readiness for compliance obligations, including salary transparency and equality plans.
- Create reliable dashboards and data routines to support decision-making for the People team and managers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or Payroll Governance.
- Must be based in Spain to manage local payroll and compliance.
- Proven experience scaling People Ops in fast-growing companies (300-800+ employees).
- Deep knowledge of Spanish and/or European labor compliance and payroll governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems; HiBob and A3/Innuva are highly valued.
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated industries like fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Knowledge of EORs, multi-country payroll, or international People Operations.
- Experience preparing People teams for audits, due diligence, or salary transparency mandates.
- Experience implementing AI-enabled People Ops automations.
