Senior Software Engineer, Java (Triggers and Conditions)

Location: Must be based in the USA (specifically in CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA). Not eligible for hire within the city limits of Chicago. Hybrid options available in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL.

Salary: $160,000 – $240,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development of large-scale software applications following quality-first standards.
• Influence critical architectural decisions to ensure systems are scalable and maintainable.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices and technical standards.
• Own technical initiatives and proactively resolve challenges based on support team data.
• Implement quality assurance practices to ensure the delivery of robust, high-performance software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications.
• 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
• Expertise in API design and RESTful services using frameworks like Jersey or Spring.
• Proficient in relational database design and OOP design principles.
• Must reside in one of the specified US states and not within Chicago city limits.

Nice to have

• Experience with caching systems, particularly Redis.
• Knowledge of Kotlin, C++, or Golang.
