Location: Hybrid: Must be based in Montevideo, Uruguay or Buenos Aires, Argentina (Collaborative hubs also available in Barcelona, Madrid, and Sao Paulo)

What you will do
- Lead the design and delivery of reliable Java microservices for finance core and reconciliation, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Define and enforce engineering standards, acting as the technical bar-raiser for the group.
- Audit, maintain, and improve existing repositories to ensure architectural integrity.
- Drive automation through rules engines and validations to reduce manual reviews and errors.
- Mentor teammates via code and design reviews to elevate overall domain and engineering maturity.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in Java SE and frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot.
- Strong experience with microservice architectures and object-oriented analysis and design.
- Deep knowledge of Java SE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management) and both Relational and Non-relational Databases.
- Experience with Cloud Providers, specifically AWS (preferred) or GCP.
- Ability to adapt to and work with Python codebases.
- Must be based in Montevideo, Uruguay or Buenos Aires, Argentina.
- Advanced English (C1) is mandatory.
