Accounting Manager (Gamedev)

Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 CAD per year.

What you will do

• Support month-end close execution, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Manage corporate cash flow, liquidity planning, and short- and long-term forecasting models.
• Ensure global tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate internal documentation for tax credits.
• Maintain and enhance business processes and controls to ensure a strong SOX compliance environment.
• Identify and implement AI and LLM-powered solutions to modernize accounting processes and improve data quality.
• Provide guidance and development support to junior accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or equivalent qualification required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a team management role.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP, with experience in US and Canadian tax filings.
• Demonstrated experience using automation and AI tools to streamline accounting processes.
• Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week in Vancouver.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technology, gaming, or SaaS company.
• Prior experience in public accounting.
• Familiarity with Netsuite, FloQast, or Medius.
• Experience with SOX and parent company reporting.
