What you will do

• Propagate and genetically modify chicken primordial germ cells (PGCs) while monitoring growth characteristics.
• Design and implement precision gene editing tools for PGC modification.
• Produce germline chimeras via microinjection and evaluate germline competence in re-derived lines.
• Characterize PGC lines and transgenes using immunological methods, PCR, and sequencing.
• Evaluate novel antibody formats in immortalized B cells using flow cytometry and molecular techniques.
• Collaborate on immunophenotyping and genotyping tasks while maintaining accurate laboratory records.

Requirements

• M.S. degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to work onsite in Emeryville, CA, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm PT.
• Proven experience with stem cell culture and genetic modification.
• Strong background in molecular biology techniques.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
