Vulnerability & Cloud Security Program Manager

Location: Remote from the USA for residents of CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA; hybrid option available at offices in Austin, Texas, and Tampa, Florida. Chicago city limits are excluded.

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 per year for roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, or New York.

What you will do

• Lead the full vulnerability management and CSPM lifecycle, including discovery, assessment, prioritization, and remediation.
• Administer and optimize vulnerability management and CSPM platforms, policies, integrations, reporting, and automation.
• Monitor primarily AWS cloud and infrastructure environments for misconfigurations, excessive permissions, and compliance drift.
• Partner with engineering and DevOps teams on triage, remediation, and technical guidance for complex security issues.
• Align security practices with FedRAMP, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Track risk metrics, SLA compliance, and vulnerability trends while automating detection and remediation workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of vulnerability management experience and 2 years of cloud security experience.
• Hands-on experience with CSPM tools, vulnerability detection platforms, and automation.
• Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of CVSS and risk-based prioritization, plus strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Wiz, AWS Inspector, Nessus, or OpenSCAP.
• CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, or GIAC Cloud Security certification.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, or FedRAMP.
