What you will do

• Review and interpret complex insurance policies, including EPL, Professional Liability, BOP, and GL.
• Draft coverage position letters, including reservations of rights and denials, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct complex claims investigations involving employment-related allegations and professional services exposures.
• Develop and implement strategic approaches for claim resolution, including litigation oversight.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits while balancing legal risk and business objectives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams and carriers regarding coverage issues.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership OR 7–10+ years of senior-level experience in complex liability claims.
• Active adjuster licenses and willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• Demonstrated expertise in insurance coverage analysis and policy interpretation.
• Experience managing high-frequency EPL programs and panel counsel.
• Strong understanding of liability, damages, and litigation strategy.
• Ability to manage multiple high-severity claims independently.
