Risk Director (Fintech)

TL;DR

Risk Director (Fintech): Leading the Multi-Asset Risk team to identify, assess, and manage investment-related risks for portfolios and funds with an accent on stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance. Focus on developing risk limit frameworks, overseeing derivatives review processes, and providing transparent risk reporting to senior management and the Board.

Location: Must be based in Atlanta, Georgia; role requires at least four days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Lead the Multi-Asset Risk team in identifying and monitoring investment-related risks.
• Engage with fund managers and front office teams regarding risk appetite and new trades.
• Represent the Risk Function on committees and provide oversight reporting to the Board.
• Oversee the derivatives review process to ensure alignment with fund risk profiles.
• Conduct due diligence on risk data, analytics, and internal/external systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.

Requirements

• Significant experience within Financial Services.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or VBA.
• Bachelor or Master degree in a quantitative subject such as Finance, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• Deep understanding of financial instruments, including derivatives and pricing methodologies.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Data Stream, or Reuters.
• Must be able to work from the Atlanta office four days per week.
