Lead Software Engineer (React/AI)

What you will do

• Set the direction for frontend web capabilities, patterns, and architecture.
• Develop and deliver web and app applications as part of the Job Management team.
• Design and build maintainable, high-performance software that scales with the business.
• Drive AI-enabled engineering practices and identify product opportunities where AI adds user value.
• Design well-documented APIs, support product experiments, and use insights to guide feature evolution.
• Improve operational excellence through observability, resilience, SLOs, testing, and reliable delivery practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience in a product-led organisation or startup environment.
• Experience adopting AI-driven engineering practices, including agentic code generation, automated pull request reviews, or AI-assisted refactoring.
• Strong experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining React applications.
• Experience scaling frontend patterns across a multi-team environment and working in Agile teams.
• Experience writing automated tests and applying modern CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of modern design practices such as Atomic Design Principles and Design Systems; cloud experience is required, with AWS experience advantageous.
