Senior Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Must already be living in Australia or New Zealand

Creative Fabrica operates a subscription platform with a large library of commercially licensed creative assets and an AI suite for generating images, removing backgrounds, creating fonts, and producing designs.

What you will do

• Build and ship high-quality Studio product interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Own complex frontend features end to end, including architecture, implementation, polish, and production follow-through.
• Improve load time, runtime responsiveness, rendering, and perceived speed in a media-heavy AI product.
• Partner with Product Design to turn Figma concepts into polished, buildable experiences.
• Work with APIs, state, real-time interactions, and media-heavy flows in the AI creative suite.
• Collaborate with backend and platform engineers while helping shape frontend standards, reviews, and technical direction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience shipping production web applications.
• Strong React and TypeScript experience in real product codebases.
• Deep understanding of rendering, bundling, caching, profiling, and frontend performance optimization.
• Experience building complex, interactive product interfaces such as dashboards, editors, or creative tools.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Creative, proactive, independent, and comfortable working through ambiguity while collaborating with design and engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI products, generative-media tools, creative editors, or media-heavy web applications.
• Experience in a startup, agency, or other high-pace product environment.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, or frontend architecture at scale.
