Consultant Data Engineer (Cloud)

TL;DR

Consultant Data Engineer (Cloud/Python): Developing server-side tools and data pipelines for global client projects and internal AI solutions with an accent on cloud architecture, containerization, and CI/CD. What you will do

• Design and optimize cloud architectures across GCP, AWS, and Azure, including storage, compute, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage containerization and orchestration of applications using Docker and Kubernetes for Data Science workloads.
• Develop server-side Python tools for bulk data processing, REST APIs, and authentication.
• Build and maintain ETL scripts and data pipelines within Big Data environments.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines to ensure the ongoing deployment of internal platforms and client-side Data Science projects.
• Research and implement specialized infrastructure and services to support the learning and deployment of ML models.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Econometrics.
• 1–3 years of experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (PostgreSQL), with familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Competence in Docker, CI/CD automation, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Fluent verbal and written English, Dutch, and French are required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Belgium.

Nice to have

• Experience with the GitLab-CE ecosystem.
