Director, Enterprise Data Management & Governance (Data Governance/AI): Establishing and enforcing company-wide data standards, controls, and accountability to ensure data trustworthiness across the organization with an accent on data contracts and PII governance. Focus on implementing schema-registration processes, scaling RBAC controls for AI enablement, and utilizing AI tools to accelerate data profiling and investigation.

Location: Remote (USA); however, applicants within 45 miles of the Westlake/Dallas, TX office are required to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday

Salary: $167,200 – $220,000 USD

What you will do

• Set and enforce company-wide data governance policies and standards across data engineering, analytics, and external SaaS vendors.
• Establish data contracts as pre-ingestion gates to define obligations for schema, semantics, and quality.
• Lead end-to-end PII governance, including classification, tagging, masking, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
• Own master data management for core enterprise entities to create an authoritative, reconciled source of truth.
• Manage and grow the data governance team while remaining hands-on with SQL queries and data profiling.
• Apply AI tools productively to accelerate investigation, documentation, and policy drafting.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA.
• Minimum 12 years of related experience, or 8+ years with an advanced degree.
• Expertise in data contracts, metadata management, and master data management.
• Hands-on technical depth in SQL and familiarity with Snowflake and dbt.
• Demonstrated fluency in using AI tools to accelerate professional data workflows.
• Strong grasp of PII classification and masking as prerequisites for safe AI data access.

Nice to have

• Experience governing data from SaaS sources such as Salesforce, Zuora, and Workday.
