Product Engineer (Backend, PHP/Laravel/Symfony)

Location: Work fully remotely from Poland

Salary: 10,400–15,000 PLN gross/month (employment contract); for senior candidates up to 14,900–21,000 PLN gross/month. For B2B: up to 25,000 PLN net/month.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and ship backend services you fully own.
• Run technical discovery: validate feasibility, identify constraints, and shape the approach before scope is locked.
• Deliver end-to-end quality, including hypercare support after release.
• Develop with AI-augmented workflows (Claude Code, MCP servers, custom agents, internal tooling).
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to own the technical “how” while aligning on “what” and “why”.
• Continuously improve systems so they are better than when you found them.

Requirements

• Location: must work fully remotely from Poland.
• Commercial backend experience with PHP & Laravel / Symfony.
• Experience designing backend architecture: microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on infrastructure and databases: MySQL (MariaDB), MongoDB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD.
• Practical AI tooling experience in real development (e.g., Claude Code / Cursor); ability to use AI as a natural part of your workflow.
• Strong English communication to collaborate with PMs, QA, and engineers.

Nice to have

• Production experience with Event Sourcing / CQRS.
• Built or worked with MCP servers or Claude Code agents for real workflows.
• Personal side project built for real users.
