TL;DR
Go/PHP Backend Developer (Go/PHP): Developing and optimizing high-load backend infrastructure for a global entertainment platform with an accent on scalability and system performance. Focus on migrating complex components to Go microservices, implementing Event sourcing via Kafka, and optimizing 200k RPS traffic.
Location: Hybrid in Limassol, Cyprus. Full relocation support provided.
Salary: €5,100–€6,000 net per month

What you will do
- Work on core infrastructure tasks for a high-load project handling 200k RPS.
- Profile and optimize backend solutions to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Implement and maintain unit and API test coverage.
- Architect and develop scaling solutions, including separating complex project parts into Go microservices.
- Implement Event sourcing using Kafka and integrate ML/CV capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in PHP (8.2) and Go development.
- Fluent proficiency in Go, PHP, and MySQL.
- Strong expertise in REST API design and implementation.
- Practical experience in debugging, profiling, and optimizing PHP/Go code.
- Deep understanding of sharding, replication, and data structures.
- Must be based in or able to relocate to Limassol, Cyprus for hybrid work.
Nice to have
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with Elasticsearch and Redis.
