Salary: Up to €6,500 gross per month

What you will do

• Design and build backend features capable of handling enterprise traffic across multiple regions.
• Optimize critical system paths to ensure maximum performance and reliability under pressure.
• Maintain high code quality through testing and the implementation of architectural patterns.
• Partner with DevOps on deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
• Mentor growing engineers and champion operational excellence in engineering decisions.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience building backend systems that handle real production traffic.
• Expertise in PHP (Symfony) and relational databases, specifically MySQL with query optimization skills.
• Proven experience debugging race conditions and optimizing databases under heavy load.
• Strong understanding of trade-offs between consistency, availability, and partition tolerance.
• System-oriented thinking and a strong sense of ownership over the shipped code.
