What you will do
- Review and process claims according to policy terms to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.
- Communicate with members, providers, and underwriters to resolve queries and provide updates.
- Verify that medical treatments meet accepted standards and costs are reasonable and customary.
- Manage inbound communication via phone, email, and digital platforms with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain precise documentation and effectively manage individual workloads.
- Escalate complex cases, potential fraud, or complaints to the appropriate specialized teams.
Requirements
- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, diplomatic, and professional under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Critical thinking and independent problem-solving mindset.
- Based in the UK (implied by currency and bank holidays)
Nice to have
- Background in healthcare, travel, medical, pet, or personal accident claims.
- Familiarity with private or international medical insurance.
- Experience managing claim reserves and producing reports.
- Language skills in German or Spanish.
