What you will do
- Design and execute innovative quantum device measurement experiments to characterize silicon spin qubits.
- Perform hands-on electrical measurements using dilution refrigerators and cryogenic systems at millikelvin temperatures.
- Analyze device performance data and develop predictive models for device optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across device fabrication, software development, and systems integration.
- Study quantum phenomena including coherence times, fidelity measurements, quantum gates, and error characterization.
- Communicate research findings through peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and technical reports.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Cryogenic Engineering, Quantum Information, or Quantum Engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in electrical measurement of semiconductor qubits or quantum devices.
- Experience working with dilution refrigerators or other cryogenic systems.
- Proficiency in tuning quantum dots, measuring threshold voltages, charge noise, or qubit readout/fidelity.
- Must be based in or able to work in Hillsboro, Oregon, US
Nice to have
- Experience with cryogenic control of qubits and quantum well heterostructures (Si/SiGe or Ge/SiGe).
- Programming and driver development skills, preferably using Python.
- Record of first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Knowledge of quantum error correction or characterization protocols.
