Sr. Manager, Field Engineering (Data & AI)

Location: Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or the Western United States

Salary: $192,100 — $264,175 USD

What you will do

• Manage and grow a high-performing team of Solutions Architects for the Manufacturing and HiTech segments.
• Partner with Sales leadership to achieve revenue and consumption targets while ensuring customer success.
• Guide customers through technical qualification, proof of concepts (PoCs), and architecture discussions.
• Maintain and execute a robust hiring pipeline to scale the Field Engineering organization.
• Ensure the technical growth of the team, keeping them ahead of the curve in the data and AI technology stack.
• Collaborate with internal partners including Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.

Requirements

• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or the Western United States.
• 3+ years of experience building and leading technical pre-sales teams (hiring, onboarding, and coaching).
• 7+ years of experience in the Data + AI space (e.g., big data, data science, ML, or data warehousing).
• Deep technical competence to act as a trusted advisor to technical executives on data infrastructure.
• Ability to review and influence complex, scalable architectures.
• Proven track record in performance management and promoting technical talent.
