Salary: $198,000 – $235,000

What you will do

• Own and evolve systems powering activity data, from ingestion through storage and serving.
• Design and build backend services handling millions of activity uploads and data pipelines.
• Operate and improve critical production infrastructure, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Partner with product teams to scope and deliver platform capabilities that unblock roadmaps.
• Contribute to technical design reviews and shape the team's long-term technical direction.
• Balance proactive platform investment with direct product-team support.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Solid backend engineering experience with a track record of shipping production services.
• Experience with distributed systems and scaling trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience with data stores such as SQL or column stores.
• Proficiency in at least one of Ruby, Scala, Go, or Java.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
