What you will do
- Lead and manage a team of 5 senior product engineers, including hiring 2 new engineers.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to design scalable solutions and own the engineering roadmap.
- Balance management duties (1:1s, career development, performance, delivery rituals) with technical leadership (code and architecture reviews, solving complex problems).
- Drive scaling initiatives including multi-tenant SaaS architecture, performance optimization, data migrations, and governance.
- Foster a strong culture of pair programming, knowledge sharing, and software craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Location: Remote work with requirement to be based in France or Paris.
- English: Fluent communication required.
- At least 2 years managing senior software/product engineers with strong management toolkit.
- Strong software engineering background with experience in full-stack development, architecture, scalability, and performance.
- Experience partnering closely with Product Managers and owning product engineering roadmaps.
- Comfortable working in remote-first environments and leading autonomous teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS at enterprise scale.
- Knowledge of performance engineering, large data migrations, and API scaling.
- Familiarity with software craftsmanship practices like TDD, DDD, and Extreme Programming.
- Enthusiasm and daily use of AI tools to improve team productivity and code quality.
