What you will do

• Lead the development and redesign of complex UHV and HV mechanical systems.
• Own subsystem architecture, requirements flow-down, and technical decision-making.
• Perform tolerance analysis, error budgeting, and GD&T strategy.
• Execute structural, thermal, vibration, and reliability analyses.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Systems, Optics, and Supply Chain.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Milpitas, CA
• Doctorate with 3+ years, Master's with 6+ years, or Bachelor's with 8+ years of related experience.
• Deep expertise in precision mechanical design for semiconductor capital equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of UHV system design, vacuum hardware, and contamination control.
• Expert proficiency with Creo/ProE or similar CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage mechanical integration and safety considerations.

Nice to have

• Experience with electron beam systems or precision instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience in vibration measurement and mitigation.
• Demonstrated supplier management and process transfer experience.
