Sr. Design Engineer

Location: Clayton, North Carolina; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, integrate, validate, and release operator station systems and cab components for NPI and CPI programs.
• Provide technical leadership across engineering, product groups, manufacturing, quality, procurement, suppliers, and other process partners.
• Translate customer, regulatory, and system requirements into measurable technical specifications and engineering deliverables.
• Lead requirements management, boundary diagrams, DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA, and process control planning.
• Investigate NPI and CPI issues, identify failure mechanisms, define corrective actions, and verify solution effectiveness using data-driven methods.
• Optimize designs for ergonomics, user experience, manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, quality, reliability, and cost.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of computer-aided design and engineering tools for producing, analyzing, simulating, and testing product designs.
• Knowledge of product design and development from concept through production.
• Experience or aptitude in mechanical product concepts, stampings, fabrication, non-metallic components, and manufacturing practices.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Creo and Teamcenter Engineering for design release.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, supply chain partners, and internal customers.
• Ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced team environment.
