Design Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; travel required up to 20% of the time. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $179,500–$246,500 per year

What you will do

• Apply deep expertise in at least one chip design discipline while maintaining broad knowledge of chip design and silicon validation.
• Support design phases by proactively addressing issues in specialized and adjacent areas.
• Troubleshoot complex problems across multiple steps of the IC design process independently.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve interdisciplinary technical issues.
• Follow complex program schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity when needed.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in at least one relevant chip design area and general knowledge of silicon validation.
• Experience with multiple tape-outs.
• Ability to solve complex design problems independently and recommend improvements to products, processes, or services.
• Strong technical verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise judgment, negotiate technical viewpoints, and collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
