What you will do

• Design and maintain product features for NetMaster and SOLVE in z/OS environments.
• Develop and consume SMF and zERT record data for network observability.
• Lead design and code reviews, providing technical feedback to the team.
• Serve as a technical lead and escalation point for complex production issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer within the team.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to translate requirements into robust software.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment.
• Mastery of REXX scripting is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to parse, analyze, and act on SMF records.
• Experience with mainframe debugging tools like XDC, IPCS, and SYSLOG analysis.
• Familiarity with network security protocols including TLS, SSH, and IPSEC.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Assembler or Metal C development on z/OS.
• Knowledge of zERT records and TLS/encryption audit data.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP on z/OS, SNA, and network performance monitoring.
• Experience with JCL, ISPF/CLIST, or ZOWE framework.
• Prior exposure to NetMaster, SOLVE, or similar mainframe network management products.
