What you will do

• Serve as the primary legal expert on AI trust, safety, and integrity issues, advising on US and international AI safety regulations.
• Design and implement content safety standards and policies for model development and releases.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement safety controls ensuring responsible AI model releases.
• Advise on legal risks in commercial and strategic transactions related to AI safety and integrity.
• Monitor and translate evolving AI legal and regulatory developments into practical guidance.
• Establish risk-based compliance postures for AI-specific trust and safety questions.

Requirements

• Must have a J.D. and active bar membership (or in-house registration) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Approximately 10+ years of experience advising on US and international content safety legal, regulatory, and litigation matters.
• Experience advising technology companies on content safety, especially in AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, or related sectors.
• Deep familiarity with key safety and content regulatory frameworks across various harm types.
• Strong independent judgment in evolving legal areas and ability to communicate complex legal requirements to diverse teams.
• Preferred experience at high-growth tech companies, AI labs, or content-safety-sensitive technology businesses.
