TL;DR

M&A Project Manager: Supporting HR due diligence, coordinating cross-functional meetings, and driving HR integration deliverables across mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions with an accent on project planning, stakeholder communication, and Day 1 readiness. Focus on ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate project documentation, and aligning HR COEs to accelerate integration outcomes and employee experience.

Salary: $97,900–$144,860 per annum (USD)

What you will do

  • Support HR due diligence by collecting, organizing, and validating people-related data from target companies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings, track action items, and maintain project documentation across M&A phases.
  • Update project plans and timelines to keep HR deliverables on schedule.
  • Prepare stakeholder materials, including summaries, dashboards, and status updates.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics and Day 1 readiness (communication planning and employee-facing resources).
  • Partner with HR COEs (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Ops, Payroll, Mobility) on integration tasks such as job mapping, workforce assessments, and policy alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, project coordination, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with internal teams, vendors/consultants, and leaders in acquired companies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Deep M&A and divestiture experience.
  • Experience working with external vendors or consultants.
  • Proficiency with productivity and project tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
  • Proficiency in using AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, analysis, or output quality.
