Azure DevOps Engineer / Terraform (Remote)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code for Azure cloud resources in the Summit platform environment.
• Build and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with integrated DevSecOps controls, automated testing, deployment gates, and secret management.
• Architect scalable, repeatable Terraform modules aligned with VA cloud standards and governance requirements.
• Apply FedRAMP, NIST, and VA-specific compliance requirements through policy-as-code guardrails.
• Perform infrastructure code reviews and security assessments, remediate vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot complex on-premises systems.
• Configure and manage system components and optimize existing customer solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 15 years of experience.
• 8+ years of experience with Azure-native services.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Policy, Key Vault, Virtual Networks, and Terraform Cloud or Azure backends.
• Hands-on experience integrating Terraform workflows into Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• CISSP or CompTIA CySA+ certification.
• Kubernetes certifications such as KCNA, KCSA, CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
• Experience in healthcare, finance, government, or technology environments.
• Experience improving workflows, supporting user onboarding, service intake, or enterprise access provisioning.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and documentation skills.
