What you will do

• Review new business applications and make underwriting recommendations for EU and US applicants.
• Analyze financial statements, bank data, and risk signals to assess business health and repayment ability.
• Communicate clearly with customers to request additional financial information when needed.
• Maintain high-quality decisions while managing queues with SLAs and quality expectations.
• Build and improve underwriting documentation, workflows, and operating procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve policies, tools, and customer experience.
• Use AI and automation to enhance speed, consistency, and operational leverage.

Requirements

• Must have 4+ years experience in underwriting, credit risk, or related financial services.
• Experience with EU and US markets and financial data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for sensitive underwriting decisions.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and experience implementing AI-driven workflows.
• Comfort with schedule supporting European customer needs, including occasional weekends or holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience at a high-growth startup or scaling operations team.
• SQL, Python, or analytics experience.
• Experience collaborating with Sales, Product, Engineering, or Risk Strategy teams.
