What you will do
- Serve as the mechanical subject matter expert for critical environments, including central utility plants and mission-critical cooling systems.
- Develop and lead mechanical reliability programs using performance trending, KPI development, and root cause analysis.
- Act as the principal mechanical system owner, ensuring engineering rigor and consistent decision-making across all critical infrastructure.
- Lead and coordinate complex, cross-disciplinary mechanical and electrical shutdowns to minimize operational impact.
- Provide technical governance of vendors and IFM partners by enforcing standards and conducting audits.
- Oversee mechanical engineering during design, construction, and commissioning of projects impacting critical environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience supporting mechanical facilities equipment.
- 5+ years of experience supporting data centers and/or advanced laboratories.
- Demonstrated expertise in HVAC, chilled water plants, and environmental controls.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of experience supporting critical environments.
- Experience with electrical infrastructure (UPS, switchgear, controls).
- Professional Engineering (PE) License.
