Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Engineering

What you will do

• Support and improve the internal developer infrastructure platform used by development teams to operate their services.
• Build standardized systems for CI/CD, observability, Kubernetes optimization, environment bootstrapping, and cloud cost optimization.
• Create Claude skills and design agentic workflows that improve developer productivity.
• Guide technical decisions, platform adoption, engineering standards, usability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate across functions, write proposals and decision briefs, and develop platform features with clear value.
• Resolve unclear and urgent infrastructure tasks while identifying opportunities to improve the path to production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
• Proven technical leadership experience and strong communication skills.
• Expertise in several of ArgoCD, Grafana, Kubernetes, GitHub, Terraform, Helm, Backstage, and cloud cost optimization.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Go.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies; GCP is preferred and AWS is also acceptable.
• Ability to work independently, thrive in ambiguity, and align technology with user needs and organizational goals.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems architecture and design.
• Knowledge of cloud security and governance principles.
• Experience designing agentic workflows, database expertise, or experience building internal developer platforms.
