What you will do
- Define and drive the Billing team roadmap, aligning team goals with organizational objectives and platform strategy.
- Provide technical leadership for complex distributed systems and design, proactively identifying improvement areas.
- Partner with product, engineering, BizOps, marketing, and sales to translate business goals into scalable objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and grow engineers (including Staff-level), building a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and strategic direction to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
- 2+ years of engineering management experience.
- Experience owning a product area end-to-end, from shipping features to long-term maintenance and iteration.
- Experience working on customer-facing products, ideally developer tools or high-traffic product surfaces.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts and tradeoffs.
- Experience scoping work, resource allocation, and setting engineering milestones and delivery dates.

- Base salary range: $220,000–$280,000.
