Manager, Software Engineering (AI)

Location: Lesser Poland, Poland; remote

Salary: 288,000–432,000 PLN annually, plus an annual performance bonus and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor software engineers and architects across multiple product areas.
• Drive development of existing applications and new platforms with AI-driven and data-driven capabilities.
• Design and promote scalable, maintainable API-first, service-oriented, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Contribute hands-on to software design, coding, system integration, and secure API development.
• Guide data modeling, ingestion, transformation, and the adoption of NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
• Support career development, performance management, resource allocation, stakeholder advising, and engineering process improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience hiring, leading, and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Java, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience building API-based and microservices architectures, SaaS or enterprise-scale distributed systems, and modern data platforms.
• Experience integrating AI tools and AI-powered APIs into development workflows and products.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, reliability, observability, SLOs, and Agile/Scrum practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with prompt engineering, RAG, LLM integrations, event-driven architectures, or streaming platforms.
• Experience with FedRAMP-compliant government applications, legal tech, or eDiscovery.
• Experience with strategic planning and execution at scale.
