TL;DR
Senior Fullstack Developer (PHP/Vue): Building and enhancing the FeeNavigator platform for automated merchant statement analysis with an accent on complex system navigation and high-quality code delivery. Focus on refactoring established codebases, optimizing database performance, and integrating AI-assisted development workflows within a collaborative, agile environment.
Location: Must be based in Canada (Remote)
Salary: $95,000–$120,000 CAD per year

What you will do
- Design and build features for the FeeNavigator platform using PHP/Laravel and Vue.
- Optimize MySQL database performance and develop efficient queries.
- Own end-to-end quality through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Refactor complex areas of the established codebase to improve maintainability.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and SREs to ensure resilient, secure, and production-ready software.
- Document critical business logic and architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada.
- 5+ years of experience developing complex applications.
- Fluency in PHP and modern development practices.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL and modern frontend development (JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue).
- Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and full SDLC.
Nice to have
- Strong experience with Laravel and the Vue ecosystem (Quasar, Pinia, Vite).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and AWS services (ECS, ECR, S3, SQS).
- Familiarity with caching technologies (Redis) and monitoring tools (Sentry, New Relic).
- Exposure to Python, ML-adjacent services, or AI integration.
