Salary: PLN 41,500 - PLN 53,900 gross monthly (for Poland-based roles).

What you will do

• Build and scale core backend systems and transactional infrastructure.
• Write high-throughput, concurrent code at production scale.
• Solve complex technical problems affecting multiple engineering teams.
• Review code and provide guidance on system design and architecture.
• Contribute to the development of foundational platforms used across the company.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Production fluency in Java or expertise in another backend language with a readiness to work primarily in Java.
• Proven track record of building core systems or foundational platforms.
• Experience with distributed systems at a meaningful scale.
• Fluency in English.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, maths, physics, or a similar field.

Nice to have

• Background in fintech or high-volume transactional environments.
• Experience in a startup or scale-up setting.
• Experience with event sourcing in production.
• Open-source contributions to frameworks, libraries, or developer tooling.
