What you will do

• Design and implement a scalable data warehouse or lakehouse to support company KPIs.
• Build and maintain reliable batch and streaming data pipelines from application databases and third-party tools.
• Translate business metrics into concrete data models and schemas in collaboration with leadership.
• Define and own data modeling standards and best practices.
• Implement monitoring, data quality checks, and observability for all pipelines.
• Enable BI and data analysts through well-structured models and self-serve datasets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in a mid-stage startup.
• Solid programming skills in Python.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling for analytics.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow).
• Experience building and operating production-grade data pipelines with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Comfort working in a greenfield environment and making pragmatic architectural decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting BI tools like Looker, Mode, or Tableau.
• Background in B2B SaaS, specifically regarding revenue, usage, and customer health metrics.
• Prior experience as an early data hire in a fast-growing startup.
