TL;DR
Tier 2 Service Technician (System Engineering): Providing advanced technical support across Windows, macOS, and cloud environments with an accent on escalation handling and infrastructure maintenance. Focus on troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and virtualized environments to ensure business continuity.
Location: Remote (Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm EST)

What you will do
- Act as the primary escalation point for Tier 1 technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
- Administer and support Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
- Manage Google Workspace environments, including handling migrations and integrations.
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Maintain virtualized environments using VMware vSphere/ESXi and deploy cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation for system changes and issue resolutions.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration (Tier 2 or higher).
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Hands-on experience with macOS setup and integration within Windows environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, TCP/IP).
- Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS).
- Availability to work Mon-Fri from 8am to 5pm EST.
Nice to have
- Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Server+, Microsoft, or VMware VCP.
- Experience with RMM, PSA, and ITSM tools.
- Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell or Bash.
