IT Service Technician

TL;DR

IT Service Technician (IT Support): Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support for Mac and Windows environments with an accent on hardware troubleshooting, M365 administration, and user lifecycle management. Focus on resolving complex software/hardware issues, maintaining asset records, and ensuring high SLA compliance for end users.

What you will do

• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for Mac and Windows devices via phone, email, and in-person.
• Manage user lifecycles including onboarding, offboarding, and account access via Entra ID and M365.
• Administer and troubleshoot MDM platforms such as Kandji, Intune, and NinjaOne.
• Maintain accurate hardware asset records and perform equipment deployment, configuration, and repairs.
• Document all support activities in HaloITSM and ensure SLA targets for response and resolution are met.
• Coordinate equipment disposal and printer/peripheral setups.

Requirements

• Proficiency in both Mac and Windows operating systems (equal capability required).
• Knowledge of M365 suite, Exchange, and Entra ID.
• Experience with MDM platforms (Kandji, Intune, or NinjaOne).
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be based in Cape Town, South Africa to support the hybrid work model.
