What you will do

• Fabricate high-precision optical components using CNC milling, grinding, and polishing techniques.
• Operate deposition chambers for coating optics and perform high-accuracy alignment and assembly of glass parts.
• Conduct quality inspections using advanced metrology equipment, including microscopes, calipers, and interferometers.
• Maintain processing areas and equipment according to 5S workplace organization standards.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and Manufacturing Management to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify and escalate product quality concerns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment wearing full protective gear for the entire shift.
• Willingness to work night shifts (Thursday-Saturday, alternating Wednesdays).
• Dexterity for handling delicate optical components and ability to interpret mathematical and geometrical data.
• Comfort working around lasers, chemicals, and overhead cranes.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in a vocational trade.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or completion of a vocational certification.
• Experience using CMM or other advanced measuring equipment.
• Participation in continuous improvement efforts such as Kaizen or quality circles.
