What you will do

• Address backend friction points and stability across 90+ engineers
• Standardize engineering practices across R&D and Engineering teams
• Lead long-term projects by breaking them into iterative, validated steps
• Evaluate feature impact using data pipelines to align with commercial goals
• Design engineering capabilities to meet challenges 12-18 months ahead
• Work across the stack from React frontend to Python monolithic backend

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• At least 2 years at Senior Staff or Principal level (L7+)
• Experience driving projects across multiple teams (50+ engineers)
• Proven track record in a high-performing, scaled engineering organization
• Deep expertise in server-side and backend development
• Experience with enterprise-grade SaaS products

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-powered video generation, billing systems, or experimentation platforms
• Knowledge of video delivery systems and real-time collaboration tools
