What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable network solutions including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and cloud-based networks.
• Serve as the technical lead for IT staff, guiding network design, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate firewalls, VPNs, and access policies into network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, conduct audits, and troubleshoot complex issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop network blueprints, define deployment standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to align network solutions with business needs and evaluate emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada (role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship).
• 5-10+ years of experience as a Network Architect or Network Engineer.
• Deep understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VxLANs.
• Proficiency with multi-cloud networking (AWS, GCP, Azure) and software-defined networking (SDN).
• Hands-on experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of security practices including intrusion detection and prevention systems.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certifications.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, and Dell networking equipment.
