What you will do

• Establish and maintain comprehensive design documentation for combat gameplay and systems.
• Design and implement character navigation, combat move sets, and moment-to-moment gameplay experiences.
• Collaborate with art teams to define and integrate visual elements associated with combat.
• Iterate with gameplay teams to drive character combat implementation to the highest degree of polish.
• Analyze user feedback from usability tests to refine gameplay mechanics.
• Conduct R&D for new game systems and create playable prototypes as required.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional game design experience.
• Must have shipped at least 2 titles with a strong emphasis on combat design.
• Direct experience implementing combat mechanics, preferably melee-based, on at least 2 shipped titles.
• Strong programming or scripting knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Strong passion for action and fighting games.
