Senior Energy Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Must be based in Foster City, CA (On-site)

Salary: $185,000–$225,000

What you will do

• Develop holistic engineering and product strategies for vehicle energy management.
• Create energy budgets, energy-saving features, and software control strategies across vehicle sub-systems.
• Collaborate with simulation engineers to build digital vehicle models for energy consumption prediction.
• Integrate models into end-to-end simulations to analyze fleet-wide energy performance.
• Advocate for energy efficiency throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of direct experience in system design and energy management in vehicular or robotics domains.
• Familiarity with design optimization processes, including multi-disciplinary analysis.
• Experience translating business objectives into engineering requirements.
• Must be able to work on-site in Foster City, CA.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
• Expertise in Python or C++.
• Experience with EV charging infrastructure and hardware.
