Engineering Manager (AppSec)

Engineering Manager (AppSec): Leading and growing the Application Security team at a high-growth AI video platform with an accent on building AI-native security tooling and embedding security into the development lifecycle. Location: Must be based in Europe (Remote or hybrid in London, Copenhagen, Munich, or Zurich).

What you will do

• Lead, support, and grow a team of Senior and Staff-level Security Engineers.
• Formalize AppSec strategy and roadmap, translating business risk into prioritized work.
• Act as a technical partner for threat modeling, security architecture, and agentic tooling design.
• Define team operating rhythms including OKRs and quarterly planning.
• Interface with engineering leadership, Legal, and Moderation to embed security into the product lifecycle.
• Evolve the approach to AI-assisted development security and agentic coding tools.

Requirements

• Must be based in Europe.
• Strong engineering background in application security with hands-on experience in threat modeling, secure design, and security automation.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure and GitHub Actions.
• Meaningful people management experience with senior-level security engineers.
• Proven experience leading AppSec programs in fast-growing SaaS or AI companies.
• Deep understanding of AI-native security and how LLMs change the attack surface.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes from an operational or security perspective.
• Familiarity with tools like Semgrep, Wiz, CrowdStrike, HackerOne, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Prior experience as a Staff or Principal security engineer.
