Salary: £54,200–£64,800 per annum.

What you will do

• Design and build prototypes and production-ready ML solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, ML Scientists, and Software Engineers to solve critical security challenges.
• Maintain and apply state-of-the-art ML methods and software tools.
• Write maintainable, production-grade code within a scientific codebase.
• Explain core ML concepts to customers and partners.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related STEM field.
• Proficiency in Python with a focus on clean, reproducible, and well-tested code.
• Hands-on experience with production infrastructure (Docker, Linux, CI/CD, MLOps, cloud platforms).
• Must hold or be eligible for UK Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
• Must be able to work primarily onsite at client sites in Gloucestershire.

Nice to have

• Experience with government, defence, or military environments.
• Experience with NLP and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of data processing and streaming (Spark, Kafka) and microservices (Flask, FastAPI).
• Experience with interactive visualization tools (Streamlit, Plotly, Gradio).
