What you will do
- Architect, implement, and verify advanced control algorithms for electric propulsion systems across motor control or power electronics.
- Develop interfaces between flight control computers, power inverters, propulsion controllers, and battery management units.
- Develop and troubleshoot safety-critical embedded C/C++ code for real-time aerospace applications.
- Build plant models, control architectures, simulations, HIL environments, and iron-bird validation setups.
- Design redundant fault detection, isolation, and recovery logic for flight safety.
- Support flight-test programs, prototype integration, system-level debugging, data analysis, and technical documentation under DO-178C and DO-254 standards.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a Masterβs degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of control systems engineering experience in electric propulsion, power electronics, motor control, flight controls, EV powertrains, or energy storage.
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ for real-time, safety-critical applications.
- Strong experience in either resonant converter and DC-DC converter controls or advanced motor/generator control algorithms such as FOC, DTC, observers, and sensorless control.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, HIL testing, microcontrollers, and I2C, SPI, or CAN communication protocols.

Nice to have
- Electric propulsion experience in aerospace or EV applications.
- Knowledge of battery management systems, high-voltage power electronics, and high-voltage safety.
- Experience with flight-critical systems, state machine design, hardware bring-up, and motor/generator drive integration.
- Familiarity with DO-178C and DO-254 aerospace standards.
