What you will do
- Design and implement control algorithms for electric propulsion systems using embedded C.
- Develop and optimize resonant converter control designs for high efficiency and reliability.
- Integrate and validate power electronics components, specifically DC-DC converters.
- Perform simulations, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and system validation.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to troubleshoot propulsion performance.
- Document technical designs and test results according to aerospace development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering required.
- 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering, specifically in electric propulsion or power electronics.
- Proficiency in embedded C programming for real-time applications.
- Expertise in resonant converter control design and DC-DC converter implementation.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and HIL testing.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with electric propulsion for aerospace or electric vehicles.
- Knowledge of motor control or battery management systems.
- Familiarity with aerospace safety standards like DO-178C or DO-254.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ for scripting and automation.
