Site Reliability Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote (Must be based in Romania)

What you will do

• Build and maintain cloud platform services including API management, compute, data stores, and observability.
• Take ownership of cloud platform products to ensure high standards of resiliency, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Technical Product Owners and Engineering Managers to define backlogs and long-term roadmaps.
• Enable engineering teams to deliver products faster through the development of self-service platform tools.
• Manage risks and incidents proactively within the technology and delivery pipeline.
• Implement best practices within the ecosystem to drive operational excellence and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Experience working in a platform engineering environment.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, and Azure cloud services (AKS, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, etc.).
• Proven track record of supporting teams in DevOps and Platform environments.
• Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Must be based in Romania for a B2B contract arrangement.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder alignment and platform vision.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, specifically Azure Kubernetes solutions.
• Proficiency in Azure storage technologies.
• Experience with Monitoring and Alerting tools such as Azure Insights.
• Experience maintaining Architectural Decision Records (ADRs).
