Senior Platform Engineer (AI Platform)

Location: European Union — fully remote

Salary: €2,500 gross/month, including fixed and variable compensation, meal allowance, remote-work allowance, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain an AI Platform and Internal Developer Platform for development, Data Science, and ML teams.
• Enable access to cloud resources, AI tooling, and self-service environments through automated workflows.
• Automate cloud resource provisioning, access controls, and platform configurations on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and Kubernetes-based platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Platform Teams, Security Teams, and Product Owners.
• Lead technical discussions and drive improvements in platform scalability, security, governance, and automation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, REST APIs, and Linux administration.
• Experience with Azure IAM and RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID, application registrations, managed identities, role assignments, storage accounts, and networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, platform security, governance, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, ownership, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the European Union.

Nice to have

• Experience with ArgoCD, Kubeflow, Kueue, ClearML, MLflow, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Python, or Go.
• Knowledge of API-first platform design, Backstage, Internal Developer Platforms, or AI/ML platform operations.
