What you will do

• Lead technical mechanical design for complex assemblies and subsystems to deliver on quarter-scale goals.
• Manage products through the full lifecycle, from initial concept and design to engineering builds and mass manufacturing.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with electrical, firmware, and software engineers to create functional and user-friendly hardware.
• Decompose business goals into actionable technical solutions executable by the team.
• Mentor junior colleagues to help them refine their mechanical engineering craft.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Multiple years of relevant experience executing a broad range of mechanical engineering activities.
• Proven ability to identify solutions for ambiguous, under-defined, and open-ended problems.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate requirements effectively across different teams.
• Must be based in or able to work in person at the Cambridge, MA office.

Nice to have

• Experience leading projects through the complete product lifecycle into mass production.
• Design expertise in motion systems, precision mechanisms, or imaging system mounts.
• Background in industrial automation, inspection, or scientific instrumentation.
