Head of Business Intelligence (Data Analytics)

Location: Hybrid (Manchester Area, UK). Must be based in the UK and work from the Bury office 4 days a week.

What you will do

• Define and deliver the group's BI strategy and modernization roadmap to reduce duplication and standardize reporting.
• Unify the BI estate (including Power BI, Looker, ThoughtSpot, and Oracle BI) into a single enterprise platform.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI function of 15+ professionals.
• Establish BI architecture principles, semantic layers, and governed self-service frameworks.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Architecture, and Data Science to ensure data in GCP is performant and trusted.
• Drive the adoption of standardized semantic models and AI-enabled analytics tools.

Requirements

• Significant senior-level experience in BI leadership roles (Head or Director) within complex organizations.
• At least 5 years of experience managing and developing high-performing BI teams.
• Deep expertise in modern BI tools, specifically Power BI and Looker (LookML experience is a plus).
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, Python, and Google Analytics.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, semantic layers, and analytics architecture.
• Must be able to work from the Bury office 4 days a week.

• Experience in retail, large-scale multi-brand, or global enterprises.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics and natural language query tooling.
