What you will do
- Develop and maintain positioning for PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, OpenSearch, ClickHouse, and Valkey.
- Lead the competitive intelligence program, including building battlecards and conducting win/loss analysis.
- Translate technical differentiation into value language that resonates with practitioners and executives.
- Create sales enablement content such as solution briefs, demo scripts, and case studies.
- Collaborate with DevRel to connect bottom-up developer adoption to top-down enterprise buying motions.
- Plan and execute product launches and feature releases from positioning to campaign assets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in developer tools, data infrastructure, or cloud.
- Hands-on understanding of Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, or comparable open-source data technology.
- Proven ability to build competitive positioning that is effective in real sales conversations.
- Strong written communication skills to make complex technical concepts clear.
- Experience collaborating directly with sales teams and customers.
Nice to have
- Experience as a solutions architect.
- Familiarity with AI/ML data infrastructure trends and AI-ready data pipelines.
- Background working with DevRel or developer advocacy functions.
- Experience at a managed cloud services company or a multi-product data platform.
- Exposure to partner or channel marketing (SIs, cloud marketplaces, ISVs).
